$154.6 Million in Solar Panel Funding Awarded
Under the guidance of environmental engineering professor Jan Kleissl, a group of Jacobs School graduate students, including Michael Gollner and Karl Olney helped schools and other San Diego public institutions win more than $154 M in bonds for installing rooftop solar.
We used a national renewable energy laboratory model to calculate solar potential to assist local school districts applying for government bonds for solar panel installations.
